Mr. Willard Tan

Mr. Willard Tan is an adjunct lecturer with various Universities and Institutes of Higher Education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality & Tourism Management, a Master of Business Administration (Hospitality Management) and both degree s were awarded with Distinction from the Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. In addition, he completed the Specialist Diploma in Applied Learning and Teaching (SDALT) from Republic Polytechnic, Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers & Trainers (CIDTT) from Cambridge International Examinations University of Cambridge, and the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) from the Workforce Development Agency, Singapore.

 

Willard specialises in strategic management, leadership, sustainable development, curriculum and assessment, education pedagogy, food and beverage operations management, tourism systems, and casino operations management. He has supervised various MBA dissertations and Honours Projects and his key research interests are in the domain area of teaching and learning pedagogy, learner behaviours, consumer behaviours, segmentation studies, and contemporary food and beverage issues. He has contributed to the Singapore Management Journal with the article entitled “A Consumer-Oriented Behavioural Study in the Singapore Wine Market”.
