The objective of the course is to prepare international students to excel at the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) examination conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Singapore.
Course Objective
The objective of the course is to prepare international students to excel at the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) examination conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Singapore. AEIS is a centralised admissions exercise conducted by MOE for international students who intend to enter a Singapore Government School. The course component modules focus on English and Mathematics as the AEIS aims to assess the student’s English literacy, numeracy and reasoning abilities.
Course Outcome
- Attain a strong foundation in English at the targeted level.
- Attain a strong foundation in Mathematics at the targeted level.
- Able to relate comfortably to the local school context and racial mix.
- Able to appreciate the different races and cultures in Singapore
- Able to have a certain level of self-efficacy in taking responsibility in learning
