The Diploma in Applied Health Coaching and MedTech is a 12-month full-time programme designed to equip participants with essential competencies in evidence-based health coaching, chronic disease management, and digital health technologies, including AI-assisted systems and wearable analytics.
The programme features 6 months of institutional training in clinical foundations, patient communication, and integrated MedTech applications, followed by 6 months of supervised on-the-job training in partnering healthcare facilities, totaling over 1,000 hours of practical experience. Graduates are prepared for roles in health coaching, telehealth, community care, and wellness sectors, with opportunities for progression to bachelor’s degrees under the SkillsFuture framework.

The Diploma in Applied Health Coaching and MedTech is designed to equip learners with healthcare support competencies, build a foundation in chronic disease management and acquire skills in health coaching methodologies. In addition, it exposes learners to different areas of healthcare technology and equips them with technical knowledge to support patients across diverse healthcare settings.
Course Outcome
The overall outcomes of Diploma in Applied Health Coaching and MedTech are as follows:
  • To demonstrate patient communication, core clinical procedures, and administrative tasks required for Patient Support Associate and Healthcare Assistant roles in Singapore;
  • To apply evidence-based health coaching and chronic disease management strategies to support behaviour change and improve health outcomes;
  • To integrate digital health tools, medical devices, and AI-assisted systems to enhance patient care coordination and service efficiency;
  • To lay the foundation for future professional development.

Project Work
This module is an alternative of an industrial attachment placement that enables learners to demonstrate the practical application of all acquired competencies through a supervised, project-based experience. Through structured project milestones and reflective supervision, learners will develop professional behaviours, collaborative skills, and workplace readiness. The project serves as a capstone to synthesise theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving, ensuring learners are equipped for transition into healthcare support roles and continuous professional growth.
Graduation Requirement
Students will be awarded the Diploma in Applied Health Coaching and MedTech if they achieve at least a Pass grade in all 6 modules of the course and has a minimum of 90% of attendance rate for the whole duration of the course. Students who successfully completed the Diploma in Applied Health Coaching and MedTech can progress onto the Advanced Diploma qualifications in health coaching related studies.

Language Requirement
Minimum C6 in English Language for GCE ‘O’ Level or regional equivalent
Academic Requirement
Minimum 3 GCE O Level credits (minimum C6 in any 3 subjects) or NITEC (in any field) or regional equivalent
Mature Candidates
  • Are 30 years and above at the time of registration; and
  • Have at least 8 years of verifiable working experience; and
  • Provide a detailed resume with contact details of past and present employers
All applicants are subjected to the College's assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.

Programme Fee Structure

The programme fee is payable in two stages:

• Stage 1 – S$10,900, payable upon acceptance into the programme

• Stage 2 – S$3,270, payable before the start of the industrial attachment

Application Fee

An application fee of S$100 is payable upon submission

Scholarships

Scholarships of up to S$4,000 are available for outstanding students. Please speak with your course consultant to assess eligibility.


Paid Industrial Attachment

During the six-month industrial attachment, our industry partners typically provide a monthly allowance. This allowance is separate and cannot be used to offset course fees.
